MYO Pouflon: Aster

My second entry for the MYO Pouflon contest! I wanted to make something more flashy and vibrant than my last entry. I'm really happy with how he came out!

Personality:
Aster is studious and dutiful--his family has high expectations for him and he has no intention of disappointing them. He also has a generous heart and wants the very best for his friends and is willing to work alongside them to make their goals a reality. Much of his time is spoken for as he has a lot of responsibilities to his family, but when he can slip away he likes to visit Linden at his shop and study their magic texts together. The shop is something of a gathering place for the young pouflon of the city and there are always friends dropping by to say hello, making it Aster's favorite place to hang out. 


Bit of Bio:
Aster is the only child of a pair of well-to-do Pouflon living in Roseacre. They are an old family with a well-established reputation for being talented in magic and their son feels the weight of their expectations. Being wealthy, it is taken for granted that when the time is right Aster will attend the mage college in Asterfall and unlock his full magical potential. They chose to name him Aster partly because of this expectation and partly for his vibrant purple coat! Aster is friendly and kind to everyone he meets, and as a result he has many young friends from both the wealthy households of Roseacre and those who visit from Goldfair to sell their produce. Aster became friends with Linden one day when he stumbled across the shop were Linden was working. They hit it off quickly after learning they had the same interest in magic and aspiration to attend the mage college. Aster often visits the shop where Linden works and they help each other study and practice their magic so that they might have the skills they need when they finally set out for Asterfall. Their favorite place to practice is in the shady, high-walled garden behind the shop filled with the rare plants Linden sells to his upscale customers. Seeing Linden working so hard for something his family has taken for granted makes Aster feel a little ashamed and he does all he can to assist his less-advantaged friend achieve his goals. Aster is not especially interested in using his magic to pave the way to adventure, rather he is currently fostering the idea of one day becoming a teacher of magic and helping other pouflon achieve their full potential. One day they will be ready to make the long journey out to Asterfall and have many adventures as they work to become powerful mages!
